Overview
Hours left (HL) value is designed to allow a user to specify how many hours he plans to use to complete a task, as a way to link the progress value expressed in percentage with working hours.
By default, when an activity is added, the Hours left field on the Activity details screen is automatically filled with the same number of hours as in the Estimated hours for this activity field.

Note
Estimated hours are synced with hours left only as long as the activity has not started yet, i.e. no time entries are entered. After the activity is started, changing the estimated hours will not affect the hours left.
You can change the HL value at any time.
You can also manually adjust the calculated number of hours left for an activity when making a time entry.
Adjusting hours left
To adjust hours left of an activity:
- Hover on the activity's name and click Details to open the Activity details screen.
- Click "Add time entry".
- Indicate the hours left value in the appropriate field.
Personal hours left
You can adjust personal hours left using the Assignees dialog box in the Activity center or on the Activity details screen. To do so:
- In Activity center, click the Assignees cell for an activity. Alternatively, while on the activity details, click the + button in the Assigness section then click Schedule hours.
- Adjust the value in the Hours left column.
- Click "Save".
Warning
When an assignee is removed from the team, both their estimated hours and hours left are deducted from total EH and HL.
