The access level encompasses a set of permissions granted to a space member. There exist two categories of access levels for any user:
- For actions outside spaces.
- For actions inside a space.
The assigned access level is effective only inside the space, the same way as the project access level is effective inside a project, or portfolio access level - inside a portfolio.
Warning
The space access level overrides the user's global access level.
As a space administrator, you can remove any member, including other space administrators, from the list of space members at any time. To remove a member from a space, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Members tab in space settings.
- Hover over the member you would like to remove.
- Click that appears on the right side of the row.
Warning
It is not possible to remove the last member with an administrator access level.
Custom fields and workflows
With the introduction of spaces, the scope of use for custom fields and workflows may vary. The scope parameter (found in the Scope column) signifies the visibility of custom fields and workflows across the account. Custom fields and workflows can now have a global or space-specific scope.
- A global custom field/workflow is shared among spaces and, as a result, can be utilized in any space without restrictions.
- A space custom field/workflow is visible and usable only within the space where it was created.
Space administrators can create new custom fields and workflows for the spaces they manage. To create a new custom field/workflow for a space, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Custom fields/Workflows tab in space settings.
- Click + Add custom field/workflow.
Importing custom fields into space
To import existing global custom fields/workflows into a space, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Custom fields/Workflows tab in space settings.
- Click + Add custom field/workflow.
