Overview

You can use projects as templates for quickly creating new projects with activities. A special status, Template, is used for this purpose. When you create a project from a template, all activities and details are copied, except the start date.

The project's start date will always be set to the current date, regardless of the template's start date. The project's end date will adjust based on the template's duration.

Activity start dates follow these rules:

• If not specified in the template, the start date is left unspecified.
• The activity with the earliest start date is set to the project's start date.
• Other activities' start dates are set relative to the project's start date, based on their positions in the template.

End dates are adjusted to maintain the same duration as in the template.

Creating a project based on a template

To create a project based on a template:

1. In the Activity center, click the New project button.
2. In the dropdown "Create a project based on an existing template" select a template.
3. Type the project name in the placeholder.
4. Press Enter or click outside the placeholder.

Viewing templates

You can view available templates using the filters. To apply the filter:

1. In Activity center, click Filters.
2. Click the Project status filter to expand it.
3. Select Templates.
