Overview
You can assign or unassign users to/from activities, one by one or in batch, depending on your needs.
Below are presented the mpost common ways to manage assignees: via the activity details or the Assignees column in Activity Center. For batch operations on activities, see Activity batch operations.

Managing assignments via Activity details section
To make new activity assignments:
- Hover on the name of the activity you want to edit assignments of and click "Details" to open its details section.
- Click the "+" button at the "Assignees" section.
- Select the users you wish to add by clicking them one by one—a plaque will be added to the top bar.
- Use 'X' on the respective plaque to remove a user added in error.
- Click outside the box to save the changes.
To edit/delete activity assignees:
- Hover on the name of the activity you want to edit assignments of and click "Details" to open its details section.
- Click the "+" button at the "Assignees" section.
- To remove a user from the assignees, click "X" on the user's plaque. For batch unassignment, see Activity batch operations.
- Click outside the box to save the changes.
Self-assignment
You can assign an activity on yourself the following way:
- Hover over the activity and click
.
- Click the heading bar of the Assignees section.
- Select Assign to me.
Managing assignments in Activity center
To select assignees for an activity using the Assignees attribute in Activity center:
- Make sure the "Assignees" column is enabled for activities. To do so, click the "Columns" button (
) and toggle on the "Assignees" item. Use drag-n-drop to relocate the column, if required. To learn more about customization, refer to Customize in this online help.
- Click the "Assignees" cell for an activity.
- If there are few assignees on the activity, the button will be replaced either with a placeholder (
) (like in this example, i.e. no avatar has been uploaded for the user, and capital letters of their name are shown) or one with the user's avatar.
- If there are more assignees, the exact number is shown using placeholders or avatars. For example, the combination
indicates that there are 9 users assigned to the activity.
- If there are few assignees on the activity, the button will be replaced either with a placeholder (
- Click on each user in the list you want to assign to the activity: A plaque representing a user will be added to the top bar with each click of yours.
- Use the "X" of a plaque to delete it if a user has been picked in error.
- Click outside the box to save the changes.
To unassign assignees:
- Repeat Steps 1 to 2 above.
- Click the "X" of the plaque of the user you want removed.
- Click outside the box to save the changes.

Inviting users
If the user that you would like to assign to your activity is not on the list, you can invite him or her (create a new user).
To invite a user:
- Hover on the name of the activity you want to edit assignments of and click Details to open its details section.
- Click the "+" button at the Assignees section.
- Click "+ Invite user" right above the list of activity assignees/available users.
- Enter the new user's login name and email address in the respective fields.
- To fill in additional details for the user (optional), click 'Additional options'.
- Click "Invite a user" to complete the procedure.
Warning
To be able to manage assignees, i.e. add users to or exclude them from the assignees of an activity, you must have "Manage assignees" permission in your access level.
To be able to view assignees, you must have "View - Members & assignees" permission in your access level.
