Availability
Overview
Any access level comes with permissions for adding and/or editing expenses in both member and non-member project permissions, i.e. for projects where the user is a member and projects where it is not.
The permissions are as follows:
- Add own
- View all
- Edit all actual
- Edit all planned
In this article
The two last permissions cannot be enabled without the first one, Log expenses, being enabled too.
Note
A prerequisite for using the permissions is the "Access billing information" global permission.

Actions
The actions the permissions unlock in combination are summarized in the sections below. The case when all expense permissions are enabled is not included as it's self-evident: it gives full control over expenses both at the project and activity level. See the sections below for actions that each option enables. Permissions enabled automatically when a permission is enabled are given in the parentheses. For example, View all (+ Add own) means that, for all four permissions disabled initially, when View all is enabled, Add own is turned on automatically. By the same token, disabling Add own will disable View all with it.
Add own
The actions available for the solitary Add own permission enabled are summarized in the table:
