Overview
Birdview comes with a powerful AI chatbot designed to help you interact with your projects, activities, messages in them, and the knowledge base using natural language questions. For example, you can ask the chatbot: “What tasks are assigned me this week?”. The result will be a list of tasks you have on your plate from Monday to Friday the current week. For your safety, the chatbot uses predominantly internal information of the Birdview domain, including your account’s data, the Birdview knowledge base you find at our official Help center. No customer data is ever used to train Birdview AI tools.

What is Birdview AI assistant designed to do?
Birdview AI assistant is designed to handle a number of queries, including but not limited to:
- Project and task search;
- User-based filtering;
- Getting insights from project messages;
- Search the Birdview Knowledge base;
- Smart follow-up;
- General questions.
Project and task search
For this kind of query, you might ask questions of this kind:
- “What tasks is Tim working on this week?”
- “When does the ‘Website Redesign’ project start?”
- “Show me all high-priority tasks due this month.”
The Birdview AI assistant understands natural language queries and provides structured responses that include a list of task or project names, statuses, dates, and more. The AI element consists in intellectual filtering and search based on Birdview project and activity data queried.
User-based filtering
You can ask questions pertaining to specific users. For instance:
- “What John’s tasks beginning next week?”
- “Give me a list of projects, part of Main space, where Alex Monroe is a member.”
Note
Feel free to reformulate your question if you find Birdview AI assistant's answer unsatisfactory.
In case of uncertainty, the chatbot will ask additional questions.
Get insights from project messages
The chatbot can retrieve and summarize messages attached to projects and tasks, helping you stay on top of updates without digging through threads.
Examples of questions are:
- “Find a message in project # 5466 about a staff meeting.”
- “List all messages mentioning me in project # 677?”
Answers from Birdview Knowledge base
The chatbot can search our Knowledge base and return helpful, longer-form answers when needed.
Examples of questions are:
- “What permissions should I have to become an approver?”
- “Search the Knowledge base for an article on project templates”
At times, you may find an answer incomplete or unsatisfactory, given various sources of data the chatbot is using: the official website, blog, knowledge base, help center, etc. Try to rephrase the question to get better results. Pointing directly at the source of data can help (see Example 2 above).
Smart follow-up handling
The bot remembers the flow of a single conversation, so you can ask follow-ups without repeating yourself.
For example:
- “When does it start?” right after asking about a project.
- “List tasks he is assigned to” after asking about the access level of a user.
Note
When asking questions about sensitive or high-level data, e.g. global access level of a user, the chatbot may suggest that you should refer the matter to your system administrator.
