Overview
Birdview's AI features run on large language models. Every AI request uses computing resources, and credits are how that usage is measured.
This guide explains what is included in your plan, what each type of AI request costs, and how to buy more credits.

Good to know
Credits are used only when you use an AI feature. Normal work in Birdview does not consume credits.
What is included in your plan
Included credits are granted at the start of each billing month.
| Plan | Included credits per month |
|---|---|
| Lite | 400 |
| Team and Enterprise plans | 1,000 |
What each AI task costs
| AI task | Average cost | What 100 credits covers |
|---|---|---|
|
Create a project WBS (break a project into tasks) |
0.5 credits | About 200 requests |
|
Rewrite a task (improve, summarize, or clarify) |
0.2 credits | About 500 requests |
| Ask the AI Assistant a general question | 6 credits | About 17 requests |
WBS generation and task rewriting work on a small, predictable amount of text, so their cost is stable. General questions vary more. A short question about one project costs little, while a question that requires reading across many projects, tasks, timesheets, and reports costs more.
How far your monthly credits go
If you used your full monthly allowance on a single type of request:
| Task | With 1,000 credits | With 400 credits (Lite) |
|---|---|---|
| Project WBS | 2,000 requests | 800 requests |
| Task rewrites | 5,000 requests | 2,000 requests |
| General questions | About 165 requests | About 65 requests |
Most teams use a mix. For example, a team on a 1,000-credit plan could use:
- 100 WBS generations (50 credits)
- 500 task rewrites (100 credits)
- 140 AI Assistant questions (840 credits)
Total: 990 credits.
Important
WBS and rewrite requests are inexpensive and rarely drive your bill. General questions to the AI Assistant typically account for most credit consumption.
Buying additional credits
Additional credits cost $5 per 1,000 credits.
Getting more out of your credits
- Be specific in your questions. Narrowing a question to one project or one date range reduces the amount of data the AI has to read.
- Use WBS generation and task rewriting freely. At 0.5 and 0.2 credits per request, these are the least expensive AI features in the product.
- Ask one question at a time. Bundled, multi-part questions cost more because the model works with a larger context.
- Check your usage before month end. This is especially helpful if your team relies heavily on the AI Assistant.
Frequently asked questions
Are credits shared across my account or allocated per user?
Credits are pooled at the account level. Your whole team draws from the same monthly balance rather than each person receiving an individual allowance.
Do unused credits roll over to the next month?
No. Your included credits reset at the start of each billing month, and anything left unused does not carry forward.
What happens when I run out of credits?
AI features pause until the next monthly grant or until additional credits are purchased. All other Birdview functionality continues to work normally.
Where can I see how many credits I have left?
Go to Company Settings > AI.
Will these cost estimates change?
The credit cost of each request depends on the underlying model and the size of the request. This page will be updated if average costs shift meaningfully.
